How long have you been with Community Bank of Raymore? 10  years!

How many years of service do you have in banking? 10 years

How did you get started in banking? Following my passion of helping people and an interest in the financial industry.

What do you enjoy most about banking? Establishing long term relationships with clients and the complexity of the financial industry. Every day brings something different!

What is your favorite community event and why? Operation: Gratitude! It’s rewarding to see the community join together to support our military members that sacrifice their safety and time away from their families so we can safely enjoy being at home with ours.

What is a fun moment you have had at work? I received a Retail MVP award and got a trophy!

What are the strengths of our bank from your perspective? Exceptional customer service in all aspects, hometown feeling atmosphere, awesome employees & customers!

Any hobby or skills you would like to share. I enjoy collecting seashells and snorkeling!

Anything else you would like to mention. I love animals and traveling! The gulf coast of Florida is my favorite place to vacation. I like to hangout with the local alligators.

Fallon Solscheid, Vice President/Raymore Retail Manager

How long you have been with Community Bank of Raymore? 13 years

How many years of service do you have in banking? 23 years

How did you get started in banking? I had originally planned on becoming a flight attendant and my best friend had recently started a job at an expanding bank. They were opening dozens of locations in Missouri and Kansas so I took a chance on what I thought would be a job for the summer.

What do you enjoy most about banking? I love getting to hear all the stories from clients.  One day I think I could write a book with all charm that people share about their journey to call Midwest their home. 

What is your favorite community event and why? Raymore Lions Club’s Breakfast with Santa.  It is a magical experience seeing the joy on kids' faces! And there are lots of pancakes.

What is a fun moment you have had at work? During covid, the team in Raymore had a parade for my birthday.  My coworkers are the best!! A little wild, but they definitely know how to celebrate.

What are the strengths of our bank from your perspective? We are not just a bank; we are a social hang out.  We hope to get to know all  our clients and many stop by just to visit us, grab a fresh baked cookie, and enjoy amazing coffee selection.

Any hobby or skills you would like to share. I enjoy creative activities. Studied animation and graphic design and still use it a lot.

Leslie Arnold, Senior Vice President/Trust Officer

I have been in the banking industry for 27 years.  After graduating from college, I worked at State Street Bank in the mutual fund accounting group.  I joined Community Bank of Raymore in the trust department 17 years ago.  I like helping people realize their dreams of leaving a family legacy.  In the trust department we make that happen.  It is very interesting, and no two days are the same.  During my career, I have met many people and worked with various charities.

Community Bank of Raymore cares about the communities they serve and participate in so many ways.  Stuff the Bus is probably my favorite community event to be a part of.  It’s amazing to see our employees and customers get so involved in helping collect and donate items for the kids.  As employees, we have the opportunity to shop with monetary donations to make sure we have the supplies that are needed for each child.

Each employee here knows the “customer service” motto and is willing to help in any way possible.  We don’t just call you by name, we will call you on your birthday, offer you cookies, popcorn, and coffee!  The camaraderie the employees have is unparalleled.  We are an extended family, and our family is ready to serve your family!

Gina Brumbaugh/Senior Vice President

How long you have been with Community Bank of Raymore? August 1984

How many years of service do you have in banking? All 38 years

How did you get started in banking? High School program that I worked ½ day for credit – not sure what it is called now.

What do you enjoy most about banking? The changes, nothing ever remains the same. The Payments moving at the speed they do now is a far cry from the last bank to have a fax machine.

What is your favorite community event and why? The fall festival. I love the kids watching the parade and getting candy.

What is a fun moment you have had at work? There are many – but my husband has made some of them memorable. When the bank was being remodeled, he worked it out with the contractor to bring in a ceiling fan for my area and it happened to be the one I wanted for my house. Of course it was for my house, he just wanted to surprise me with it.

What are the strengths of our bank from your perspective? The people we have working here – it is truly a family.

Any hobby or skills you would like to share. Everyone knows I love to camp, in a fifth wheel of course.

Jessica Williams/Peculiar Branch Manager

I have been with Community Bank of Raymore for 16 years.  

I began my career in banking with Midland Bank in 1999 as a part time teller. 

What I have enjoyed the most throughout my 23 years of banking are the different types of people I have met along the way.  

One piece of wisdom I have learned over the course of my career is that you absolutely cannot judge a book by its cover. 

My favorite community event is the Harvest Moon Festival in Peculiar.   It is a great opportunity to see customers and their families outside of the branch environment.   

As an animal rescue advocate, I especially enjoy those that bring their pups in for a quick visit.

Carol Harmon/Teller

How long you have been with Community Bank of Raymore?  18 years

How many years of service do you have in banking?  18 years

How did you get started in banking?  Referred and given the opportunity

What do you enjoy most about banking?  We have great customers

What is your favorite community event and why?  Operation Gratitude for many reasons.  On a personal level, my father, three brothers, one sister, and several nieces and nephews have served and continue to serve in all branches of the military, collectively.  Most have served overseas…some even in combat.  Many people gave and continue to give of themselves to serve our country through difficult times so that I can live in a country without fear and enjoy the freedoms that they put their lives on the line for. This, for me, is one small way that I can contribute and show my appreciation for the sacrifices that our military and their families make on a daily basis.

What is a fun moment you have had at work?  Enjoying the comradery of working on the PPP loans

What are the strengths of our bank from your perspective?  How involved we are in the community and community service projects both near and far

Gail Daly/Peculiar Branch Teller

On June 30, 2021, I will be working with Community Bank for eighteen years.  Prior to moving to Peculiar, Missouri, I had worked at a bank in Douglass, Kansas.  I started there sometime in the year 1990.  I have been in the banking business around thirty years. 

After working a few weeks, I realized everyone needs to work at a bank for at least two weeks of their life.  There is so much more involved than just counting money.

Working at the bank is like a box of chocolates.  It is always a surprise.  You never know what the next customer will need or want. 

I have people ask me all the time when I am going to retire.  Sorry people you all are stuck with me until I cannot work anymore.  I enjoy the customers and my fellow employees too much to retire. 

Everyone who knows me should know my motto, “If I haven’t done something goofy to laugh at myself, I haven’t been having any fun”.

Tina Graef, Vice President

How long you have been with Community Bank of Raymore?  20 years this November

How many years of service do you have in banking? 30 years

How did you get started in banking? I worked part time for the bank while I went to college and decided to make it my career.

What do you enjoy most about banking? Working and talking with people.

What is your favorite community event and why?  I love the Bright Futures Holiday Store in Harrisonville, where school age kids get to come shop for gently used trinkets, knick knacks or treasures donated by the community for their families at Christmas time for $.25 an item.  The kids shop with a volunteer, not their parents, and get all their gifts wrapped so they can surprise their family members on Christmas Day.  It is a wonderful thing to see so many children excited to buy things for other people and have the opportunity to show their generosity.

What is a fun moment you have had at work?  Last April when we did the PPP loans, we were all primed and ready for the government to open the time up for banks to begin inputting the applications on their system.  This was an all-hands-on deck event because of the volume of loans were dealing with and we were prepared to come in at midnight and pull an all nightery.  I even set a special ringtone on my phone so I would right away know when the mission was a go.  As it turns out, we did not have to come in till our normal time but were we busy once we got the green light!  It felt great to be able to help so many people and even better to part of such an outstanding team!!!! 

What are the strengths of our bank from your perspective?  The strength of our bank are the people that work here.  It is for sure a family environment.  I worked for a big bank for 10 years before coming to CBR and I would not trade my bank family for the world!

Anything else you would like to mention.  I am serving my 6th year on the Harrisonville School Board.  Taking a leadership position is important and vital to help with the growth and development of the communities in which we are a part of.  I have been honored to be part of something bigger than myself and doing what I can to help our students achieve excellence in education.
